I'm often the guy that jumps in and makes things happen in an emergency when things are falling apart, but it is really nice to be the first contact to do neat things. One such event was recently setting up the <a href="http://www.theforce.net/holonet/newspics/afi-shatner.jpg">"dancing stormtroopers"</a> for the <a href="http://www.afi.com/tvevents/laa/laa05.aspx">AFI Lucas tribute</a>. Now I've been asked to repair/rehab the 3/4-scale Lucasfilm X-Wing (and its R2 unit) going on display in Los Angeles at <a href="http://www.siggraph.org/s2005/">Siggraph</a> and the<a href="http://starwars.fidm.edu/"> FIDM Star Wars Costume exhibit</a>. <br> <br> It's the geek version of being picked first for baseball.<br>
